Correct me if i'm wrong but at present there's no way to contact the giver with questions pertaining to the item prior to yoinking.

I think it's essential if this is to be widely used, to be able to see what people want for free too. I know it's prone to abuse, but I'm sure it could be easily moderated. For instance, I'm trying to source a megaphone. No one has one posted up yet, but if I let people know I wanted it, then maybe someone would go, "oh yeah, I have one of those"

One of the problems with Freecycle is that you don't know who is always Taking vs always Giving. There are also problems with politeness, people not turning up etc. Making feedback available to other users would be a great way to deal with this problem. Could be integrated into the point system too, like Ebay or Bookmooch.

Back arrow, as with any web page, should take you to the last page you visited, not back to the first page searched. This happens even if you click "back to finding free stuff". Please fix, it makes browsing irritating.

What about a Yoink iphone/sms/email alert which allows users to receive an alert when items they are interested in are available in their area?

If it was possible to post to twitter and/or Facebook, this would publicisie whatever is being given away as well as promoting Yoink! to non users

There are already "share" buttons on the item pages, but I would love it if Yoink automatically posted my status as "just Yoinked xxx" (xxx being the item name). People love bragging about a bargain.
